SSU offers online workshops for potential teachers

The Sonoma State University School of Education is offering a series of online workshops for the first time designed to educate potential teachers about the credential program.

Faculty and staff will walk workshop participants through the application process and discuss the program requirements. Participants will also have the opportunity to ask questions during live, 60- to 90-minute online sessions.

Interested persons must sign up in advance to participate, but a link to the recording of each session will be posted on the School of Education Web site for those who were not able to participate. The Feb. 5 “Education Specialist Program” session for teaching special education has been posted at www.sonoma.edu/education/admissions/workshops.htm.
Upcoming 4 p.m. workshops include:

• Feb. 12: “Multiple Subject Program” for those interested in elementary education.

• Feb. 19: “Single Subject Program” for those interested in secondary education.
