LJMS volleyball teams downed by Kenilworth

Lawrence Jones Middle School volleyball coach Donna McKenna was pleased with her seventh-grade team's performance despite falling in three sets to visiting Kenilworth on Dec. 19.
"The level of playing was exceptional," McKenna said. "The team came together for some very exciting rallies and our setters, Lia Misi and Camille Spackman were sensational."
The Lady Jaguars are now 1-3 in league play.

Eight-grade girls
The eighth-grade Lady Jaguars, McKenna said, "have been plagued with injuries but we continue to play hard and hang tough."
After winning the first set in convincing fashion, 25-6, Kenilworth battled back to win the final two sets ands the match 25-19 and 16-14.
Jaxen Brazell served 21 for 22, scoring 13 points in the first set.
Rei Rei Peleti served 14 for 15, Malia Kuka served 10 for 10, and Corrinne Ladner served three critical serves in the third set. Kaela Velles, despite playing with an injury, had 13 authentic kills.
The Lady Jaguars are 2-2 in league play. LJMS' next home game is Jan. 10.
