U.S. Postal Service offers chance for early jump on mailing cards
Bookmark and Share

Monday, Dec. 17 will be the busiest mailing day with an expected 655 million cards, letters and packages being processed nationwide. Dec. 10 is expected to be nearly as busy.

The U.S. Postal Service is inviting its customers to get a jump on mailing their holiday cards by dropping them in a blue collection box before 3 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 9 and Sunday, Dec. 16. This mail will be picked up during a special collection added to the schedule that day to help the Postal Service advance the mail.

North Bay Postal customers also have the option of visiting one of the Postal Service’s convenient self-service kiosks or SSKs. Customers can print postage and mail domestic letters and packages at the SSKs. They accept major credit and debit cards – and generate a receipt for payment.

The closest post office participating is 150 Raley’s Towne Center in Rohnert Park.
